PAJ Call for Contributors

PAJ: A Journal of Performance and Art entered its 44th year of publication in 2020. In pursuing our long-standing goal to include new voices and new forms of arts writing in the journal, we invite contributions from around the world on a range of topics and subject areas. Looking forward to future issues, there are a number of subjects we hope to focus on:

1. Neglected theatre and performance histories
2. Writers and new writing
3. Fascism and the rise of the far right
4. Performance, drawing, and notation (including theatre, dance, music, visual art)
5. New technologies and media
6. Spiritual dimensions of art

While we encourage articles on these subjects from contributors, we also accept essays on all other relevant topics for consideration. For all contributors, please send a letter of inquiry to submissions.paj@gmail.com in advance when possible. Deadlines remain open-ended as material is read year-round. All accepted submissions are published within a year. In addition to publishing articles, we also publish reviews on recent performances, exhibits, and published books.
