Panel Theme #1 – Nevertheless She Resisted: Women Playwrights of the Americas Confront Social Injustice
In keeping with SSAWW’s conference theme “Resistance and Recovery Across the Americas,” this panel invites papers that explore dramatic/performance texts by women writers of the Americas, from any era, that engage and critique oppressive social and political systems.
Panel Theme #2 – Recovery Through Performance
In keeping with SSAWW’s conference theme of “Resistance and Recovery Across the Americas,” this panel invites papers and/or performance texts by women writers of the Americas that explore the dramatization/performance of recovery from traumatic events.
