Call for Papers

Rollins College, Orlando: April 4-6, 2019

Once again this coming year, the Arthur Miller Society hopes to have a panel accepted at the Comparative Drama Conference in Orlando. The range of acceptable paper topics for this panel is broad: analyses of differing interpretations of Miller’s plays in various productions, discussions of major themes or ideas in Miller’s dramatic works or essays, elements of Miller’s biography, Miller’s relationship to other dramatists … generally, any area of Miller studies will be considered.

We intend for the 75-minute session at the conference to include three papers; each should be 15- to no more than 20-minutes long (roughly 2500 words) so that 15 to 20 minutes can be devoted to discussion with the panel audience at the end of the session.

Please send paper proposals of no more than 300 words and a brief academic biography of roughly 50-100 words to David Palmer (dpalmer@maritime.edu) by October 20. Papers for inclusion in the panel will be selected during the following week, and the Miller Society’s pre-arranged panel proposal will be submitted to the CDC administrators for their consideration by their deadline of November 3.
